Admissions

We welcome children aged 2 to 4 years. We are a term-time only setting open Monday through to Friday.

We offer a range of flexible sessions including morning, afternoon and extended hours through our breakfast, lunch, and after-preschool clubs.

Full-day sessions are available depending on the child’s age and session availability.

Our main intake is in September, but children are welcome to join throughout the year once they turn 2.

We ask that children attend a minimum of two sessions per week, though many families choose to add more.

To register your interest, simply click the “Register today” button and we will contact you when we are allocating places. The information you provide helps us place your child in the correct year group and stay in touch regarding future availability.

To secure your child’s place, we ask for a £35 registration fee. This fee is refundable if you have a childcare funding code in place before your child starts and are using your funding to cover the cost of your child’s sessions with us.

If you have any questions, please email info@bscps.co.uk or call 01923 274483, we're always happy to help.

Funding

At Breakspeare, we accept all government-funded childcare schemes and are flexible so that you can use your funded hours in a way that suits you.  Funding can be shared between us and another childcare setting.  You can also choose to pay for part of your sessions with funding and the remainder yourself.  The remaining hours will be charged separately in line with our fee structure.  If you’re using funding to cover your child’s sessions, please make sure you have your funding code in place before your child starts.

30 Hours for 2 to 4 Year Olds – Working Families
Working parents can get funded childcare depending on income and working status.  Visit the Best Start In Life website to check your eligibility and apply.

15 Hours for 3 & 4 Year Olds
All 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for 15 hours of funded childcare automatically the term after they turn 3.  The preschool can put this funding in place with you when you register your child.

15 Hours of 2 Year Olds – Receiving Government Support
Families who are in receipt of certain benefits and support, for instance Income Support, Universal Credit, DLA, EHC plan, etc. may be eligible for 15 hours of childcare each week in term time.  Visit either the Best Start In Life website or Hertfordshire funding website to check your eligibility and apply.

Tax-Free Childcare
Eligible working families can get up to a £2 top up for every £8 towards the cost of childcare.  More information is available on the Best Start In Life website or government website.

Help and Advice
